New Zealand Winter trip 2015 DAY THREE
Have you ever been so cold that you thought the snot dripping from your nose might freeze over….that was me, up before sunrise exploring our new place. Juggling camera, tripod, gloves, timer, tissues and remote all with numb fingers. And still didn’t get a shot worthy of the effort, bummer.

The other drawback of letting the family fend for themselves in the morning is their inability to think for themselves. In their defence I was late getting back, but didn’t think I needed to check their underwear. We arrived on top of the mountain to instant blue lips and rattling teeth as I discovered the B’s thermals were still tucked nice and warm in the draws back at the resort…..along with LR’s snow Jacket! Thank god for rentals.

All worth it, Cardrona slopes are extremely learner friendly and LR is now addicted and a future snow bunny in the making (after one lesson she headed up the chairlift, little daredevil that she is). B spent the day launching snow missiles at me and sliding down the slope on his butt grinning ear to ear(tip of the day…don’t smile too much as your teeth freeze, not pleasant trust me).
