This is by far the best, and most complete museum/historical Village we have visited to date. It goes further than your usual room jammed with old bottles, buttons and hand saws and recreates an entire town. Railway, pub, hospital, Butcher, Baker….the works, and all decked out with period pieces. But it doesn’t stop there, there is also a war memorial section and split stone collection and environmental statement…there is so much more. And best of all most of it is not all chained off, so you can walk in and around and get a real feel for life back then.
